View answerThe slipway concerned is not held under a foreshore lease, and I understand that it was in existence prior to the enactment of the Foreshore Act 1933. In accordance with the provisions of Section 227 of the Local Government Act 2001, maintenance of the slipway is therefore a matter for Kerry County Council. I understand that the Council has previously carried out maintenance works on the slipway.
