483 Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government his plans, if any, to introduce fees to declare vintage or classic vehicles off the road; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29680/12]
View answerThe Government approved the drafting of a Bill to tighten the procedures around the making of off-the-road declarations on 22 May. Until such time as the legal drafting of the Bill has been completed and the Bill published, I do not propose to make specific comment on the provisions to be contained therein. However, I am aware of the particular concerns in relation to vintage vehicles in this regard and will bear these in mind.
