80 Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of retired teachers employed as superintendents in this year’s State examinations; the number of retired teachers employed to conduct the oral examinations; the number of retired teachers employed to correct examination papers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations. This includes the employment of superintendents for the examinations.
