294 Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if he is in receipt of a submission from 14 persons seeking permission to cut turf on All Saints bog, County Offaly; the date the submission was received by the Department; if the request has been examined; his views on the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The applications, which were received in my Department at the end of May, are currently being assessed and I expect recommendations will be made in relation to them in the near future. My Department will be in touch with the applicants shortly.
