509 Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the date by which he will provide the United Nations Committee Against Torture with his Department’s comprehensive follow-up information in response to the committee’s recommendations noting that the deadline has already expired. View answerAs requested in the Concluding observations of the UN Committee against Torture, comprehensive follow up information will be provided in response to the Committee's recommendations in paragraphs 8, 20, 21 and 25 of those observations.As the Deputy is aware, these four recommendations impact on the remit of a number of Government Departments. My Department, with the assistance of the other relevant Departments, is currently finalising the follow-up information requested by the Committee and it is expected that this information will be sent to the Committee in the near future.
