View answerAs part of the transfer of responsibility for licensing SPSV drivers from An Garda Síochána to the NTA, the Taxi Regulation Review Report includes Action 6 as a medium term action. Action 6 states that an annual declaration process will be introduced whereby SPSV licence holders will have to complete an annual declaration form confirming their tax status, social welfare benefits status, insurance and other employment details. The NTA has responsibility for the regulation of the taxi industry under the Taxi Regulation Act, 2003 and is also the lead agency with responsibility for implementation of the recommendations of the Taxi Regulation Review Report.
