View answerThe absenteeism rate for the Department of Finance from January to end June 2009 was 3.09%. The absenteeism rate for July to end December 2009 was 2.99%. These figures are inclusive of those on long term absences (i.e. absences of over 20 consecutive days). In the period 1 January to 31 December 2010, the average number of sick days per employee was 8 with an absenteeism rate of 3.6%. In the period 1 January to 30 June 2011 the average number of sick day per employee was 3 with an absenteeism rate of 2.43%. In the period 1 July to 31 December 2011, the average number of sick days per employee was 2 with an absenteeism rate of 1.57%.
