130. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress to date in determination of an application for rent support in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [39974/12]
View answerThe rent supplement claim for the person concerned was refused on the 21st February 2012. The person concerned has not provided the Department with sufficient supporting medical documentation as requested on 2nd July 2012. The refusal has been appealed to the Social Welfare Appeals Office which functions independently of the Department.
