171. Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Education and Skills if an appeal has been lodged in a school transport case in respect of a person (details supplied); if so, if he will issue an update on same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41733/12]

The School Transport Appeals Board is independent of my Department. I understand that the case referred to by the Deputy, in the details supplied, is not the subject of an appeal to this Board.
