Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health where information on the franking allowance and key holder allowance may be found; if these allowances are only available to persons in his Department or if they are available to all employees of his Department and the Health Service Executive who meet the criteria; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerCivil Service Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme - General Council Reports 1354 and 1385 provide for the Franking Machine Allowance and Keyholder's Allowance and are the basis for their payment in my Department. These allowances have application across Departments and are not specific to the Department of Health.
With regard to the Health Service Executive, they have been asked to collate the data sought as soon as possible and it will be provided directly to the Deputy by them when available.
