Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if a Garda investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the closure of the Pilot Training College in County Waterford which has recently been placed into liquidation leaving many Irish students with losses both in terms of college fees and legal costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that formal complaints have been made to An Garda Síochána in relation to circumstances surrounding the closure of the college referred to by the Deputy.

As an investigation is ongoing in this matter it would be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.
