The school, referred to by the Deputy, has applied to my Department for large scale capital funding. The project has been assessed in accordance with the published prioritisation criteria for large scale projects and assigned a band 2 rating. Due to the need to prioritise the limited funding available for the provision of additional school accommodation to meet increasing demographic requirements, it is not possible at this time to indicate when a major project for the school in question will be progressed.In the meantime, the school requested in January last that consideration be given to the replacement of the school's temporary accommodation with a permanent structure. The school was requested to submit a formal application for consideration which is awaited.
