214. Deputy Kevin Humphreys asked the Minister for Education and Skills if there is a science equipment grant available for a DEIS school (details supplied) who had three laboratories upgraded three years ago but was not provided with finance to equip the laboratories; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm to the Deputy that the school concerned received funding of €184,830 under the Summer Works Scheme 2010 to upgrade the three existing science rooms. This funding also provided for new science room fittings as requested by the school.
