172. Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the full cost to the Exchequer in the previous 12 months for his Department staff attending conferences including registration fees and travel. [47153/12]
View answerAccording to records, a sum of €32,423 was incurred in my Department over the 12 month period to 30th September 2012, in staff conference related expenses. I would like to assure the Deputy that the attendance by my officials at such conferences is a necessary part of and fully in accordance with their roles within my Department.
