Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Defence if he will provide details of all the Gaeltacht allowance payable to civil and public servants; the level of each allowance payable to each category and the monetary level of each allowance together with the total amount payable in 2009, 2010 and 2011. There is no Gaeltacht allowance payable to staff of my Department or the Defence Forces, and no such allowance has been paid in the timeframe outlined by the Deputy.
