Deputy Paschal Donohoe asked the Minister for Social Protection when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be approved carer's allowance; the date the application was received in her Department; if the medical element of the claim has been approved; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [47270/12]

I confirm that the department received an application for carer’s allowance from the person in question on the 22nd November 2011. The application is with a deciding officer for a decision. Once processed, the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
