I confirm that the department received an application for carer’s allowance from the person in question on the 9th January 2012. The application has been examined by a deciding officer who has sent a request to the person in question for further information needed to process the application. Once all the necessary information has been returned to the department, a deciding officer will process the application and a full decision will issue directly to the person in question.
