170. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the reason he informed this Deputy that a person (details supplied) in County Galway, received their 2012 disadvantaged area payment on 3 November 2012, when it transpires that this person has not received this payment to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I regret that, due to an error, the Deputy was inadvertently not given the correct position in relation to the payment status of the person concerned in my earlier reply. I would now like to take the opportunity to correct the record in this regard.

The factual position, as of 4 December 2012, was that processing of the application was ongoing. However, in the interim, the process has been finalised, with the holding of the person named having been confirmed as satisfying the Scheme minimum stocking density requirements. Consequently, payment will issue in the coming days, directly to the nominated bank account.
