148. Deputy Heather Humphreys asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the amount of funding allocated to the free legal advice centres and the proportion spent on promotional material; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4884/13]
View answerI am to advise the Deputy that this year my Department will make available a grant of €98,000 to Free Legal Advice Centres. I can also advise the Deputy that FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centres) is an independent human rights organisation and is not under the aegis of my Department. Consequently I am not in a position to advise on the proportion of funding that is spent on promotional material.
