Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide a breakdown of the €31 million of capital funding spent by his Department during December; the reason 28% of his Department's overall capital spend was held until December; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Capital expenditure on the OPW Vote in 2012 was broadly in line with profiled expenditure for the year including a significant level of expenditure profiled for December.

Expenditure in December included payments for numerous projects including capital works for the EU Presidency and payments to Local Authorities for flood risk management works.
