Deputy Dominic Hannigan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine following on from the recommendations contained in the Indecon Report, commissioned by him, when he intends to name the new board members to the board of Horse Racing Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine

Legislation is currently being prepared which will give effect to the recommendations in the Indecon report in regard to the structure of the Board of Horse Racing Ireland. I have announced my intention to appoint Mr. Joe Keeling to succeed Mr. Denis Brosnan as Chairman of Horse Racing Ireland in the near future.
