Deputy John O'Mahony asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the reason a group that applied for a sports capital grant (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received correspondence on their application; when this will be made available to the group; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe club referred to by the Deputy applied for a grant under the 2012 Sports Capital Programme (SCP).
A letter setting out the reasons why the application was deemed invalid was sent to the designated club contact, at the address provided on the application form, on 17/12/2012. My Department is making contact with the club with a view to reissuing this letter. If the club requires any more information or clarification they should contact the Sports Capital Programmes Unit of my Department in Killarney.
