I understand that the grant application from the student in question was unsuccessful and that he appealed this decision to the grant awarding authority's appeals officer who upheld the original decision. The student subsequently submitted an appeal to the independent Student Grants Appeals Board. The appeal was considered at a sitting of the Appeals Board on the 27th November 2012. A letter notifying the student of the outcome of his appeal issued on the 28th November 2012.
