Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the position regarding a request from Killarney Town Council to the Office of Public Works to swap 21 acres for 12 acres from the national park to be used for the purpose of a new burial ground; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Killarney Town Council has made a submission to my Department about this proposal. A meeting was recently held between the local authority and my Department to discuss the issue, which is now under consideration.
