Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Health if he has had any contact with the board of Tallaght Hospital, Dublin 24, regarding the introduction of a charge to patients for a call to its clinic for a blood test appointment; his views on this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that I have had no contact with the board of Tallaght Hospital, Dublin regarding the introduction of a charge to patients for a visit to the blood testing clinic. I have asked the Health Service Executive for a report on the issue raised by the Deputy. I will revert to the Deputy on the matter as soon as possible.
