My Department collates and publishes a wide range of housing and planning statistics that inform the preparation and evaluation of policy, and those data are available on my Department’s website www.environ.ie.

Data on the number of house purchase mortgages approved an d paid out by local authorities up to end 2012 are included within this range. Data on the total number of local authority mortgages outstanding, the total value of the accounts and the arrears arising are available up to Q3 2012 and the data for the remainder of 2012 will be published in due course.
