In order to comply with EU requirements, the applicant was one of a number selected for inspection under the 2012 Single Payment Scheme. This inspection resulted in findings of an over-declaration in area of between 3% and 20%, which under the terms and conditions of the scheme, resulted in a reduced payment. The applicant was notified of this decision on 17 October 2012. The balancing payments due to the applicant issued on 16 October and 3 December 2012.

A request for a review of the decision in this case has been received and is currently being examined. The person named will be notified of the outcome of this review as soon as possible, which can be appealed to the independent Agriculture Appeals Office within 3 months of the date of the review.
