It will be necessary to make legal provision to exclude from the application of the Small Public Service Vehicle regulations the type of community car service referred to by the Deputy, with due regard to the not-for-profit operation of such services. A legal amendment will be made to the Taxi Regulation Bill 2012 to remove any ambiguity concerning the continued operation of community car services in the context of the licensing requirements under the Bill.
