225. Deputy Olivia Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding the planned post primary school in the Stepaside area in County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27177/13]
View answerTwo new post-primary schools are planned for Stepaside. The first is a Gaelcholáiste to serve the general Ballinteer and Stepaside area. This will commence operation in 2014 under the patronage of An Foras Pátrúnachta na Scoileanna Lán Ghaeilge. The second is an English medium post-primary school which is due to open in 2016. The application process for patronage of this school is under way. The closing date for receipt of applications is 12 July 2013.
