243. Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Skills his position regarding an application by two primary schools (details supplied) in County Westmeath to amalgamate; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26787/13]
View answerI can confirm to the Deputy that my Department recently received correspondence from the schools in question relating to an amalgamation proposal. The application will be considered and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as this process has been completed.
