423. Deputy Michael Creed asked the Minister for Social Protection the current situation regarding a claim for domiciliary care allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26922/13]
View answerAn application for domiciliary care allowance was received from the person concerned on 3 May 2013. This application was referred to one of the Department’s Medical Assessors who found that the child was medically eligible for the allowance. The person concerned was notified on 31 May 2013 that her claim was awarded. The first payment including arrears will issue to her on 18 June 2013.
