View answerMy Department does not provide grants to students or performing arts practitioners. Under the Arts Act 2003, the Arts Council has primary responsibility for the promotion of the arts at all levels throughout the State. As Minister, I cannot intervene in the Council’s funding decisions, as it is statutorily independent in the exercise of that function under the Arts Act 2003.
