Deputy Michelle Mulherin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the amount of money available in 2013 for allocation through the Sports Athletic Tracks Initiative; the application procedure; the closing date for applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In July 2012 four regional athletics facilities were allocated total funding of €1,658,400 under a special tracks initiative. These projects had all been the subject of applications under the 2012 round of the SCP and were prioritised by the Athletics Association of Ireland.
