Deputy Andrew Doyle asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the steps his Department intend to take to ensure semi-State bodies and other organisations and bodies under the remit of his Department advertise vacant positions through the Public Appointments Service and publicjobs.ie that is in a clear and transparent manner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe filling of vacancies in bodies within my Department’s remit is primarily an operational matter for the organisations themselves. The sanction to fill these vacancies typically specifies a requirement to advertise through the Public Appointments Service (PAS).
My Department is committed to implementing the highest standards in all recruitment processes in which it is involved and encourages recourse to the services of PAS in circumstances where it has a capacity to assist.
