616. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress made to date in determination of an application for widow's pension in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [37610/13]

The person concerned has been awarded a widow(er)’s/surviving civil partner’s contributory pension with effect from 16th August 2013 and arrears due have also been paid.
