I am informed by the Social Welfare Appeals Office that, an appeal by the person concerned was registered in that office on the 14th May 2014 and in accordance with the statutory requirements, the Appeals Office contacted the appellant and asked her to set out the complete grounds of her appeal and to furnish any further medical evidence that she wished to submit in support of her appeal. For this purpose, a form SWAO1 was issued to the person concerned on the 14th May 2013.

I am advised that the appeal by the person concerned was closed on the 5th September 2013 as the appellant had not submitted any grounds of appeal nor returned the SWAO1 form to that Office.

The Social Welfare Appeals Office functions independently of the Minister of Social Protection and of the Department and is responsible for determining appeals against decisions in relation to social welfare entitlements.
