Deputy Andrew Doyle asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the number of submissions his Department received through the public consultation phase on the implementation of the UNECE Aarhus Convention here on the implementation in Ireland of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters the Aarhus Convention; if he will provide in tabular form the names and organisations that made submissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Twenty two submissions were received during the first stage of public consultation on the first National Implementation Report of the Aarhus Convention in Ireland. I will be publishing these submissions on my Department’s website in the coming weeks.
