547. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Health the cost of extending free general practitioner care to all children under five years old; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39564/13]

I am advised by the HSE that the cost of providing GP visit cards to all children under five years old, at current rates of payment to GPs, is approximately €34 million.
