I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department is aware of the accommodation needs of the school in question.

My Department has been working with the relevant Local Authority in relation to identifying and acquiring a suitable site for the provision of permanent accommodation for the school. I can confirm to the Deputy that a suitable site has been identified. Due to commercial sensitivities attaching to site acquisitions generally, I am not in a position to comment further on the matter at this time. However, once the site has been acquired, the provision of a new school building will be considered in the context of the capital budget available to my Department for school buildings generally. My officials will be in further contact with the school authority as soon as a further update is available.
