Deputy Tom Fleming asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if he will provide the necessary funding to reinstate the roads through Killarney National Park, County Kerry (details supplied); if he will accept that this health and safety matter needs to be addressed urgently; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerMy Department keeps under review the condition of infrastructure, including roadways, in the National Parks and, where funding is available, priority maintenance and upgrading is carried out. In 2013, my Department commenced a programme of road maintenance works in Killarney National Park and further works will be considered for 2014, having regard to the available funding.
