Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he has received confirmation from South Dublin County Council in respect of the disposal of land to his Department for the development of a new school building for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 24; the schedule to be followed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI wish to advise the Deputy that my Department has recently been informed by South Dublin County Council that the Members of the Council have approved the disposal of a suitable site in the Council's ownership, which will allow for the provision of new school accommodation for the school to which the Deputy refers.
My officials are working closely with officials from the Council to progress the site acquisition, through the next steps of the process, to conclusion.
