424. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection if an exceptional needs payment will issue in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare to facilitate the fixing of wires to provide electricity to a residence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. There is no record of an application for an exceptional needs payment from the person concerned. However, an officer from the Department will call to the person concerned to assess eligibility for a payment.
