237. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Education and Skills when he will appoint a freedom of information officer to the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5361/14]
View answerSection 27 of the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Act 2012 provides that the Freedom of Information Act 1997 applies to the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Board. From enquiries made by my officials to the Board, I understand that the Board has approved its FOI policy in compliance with the provisions of the FOI Acts. A member of the Board's staff has been appointed to deal with FOI requests and a dedicated email address (foi@caranua.ie) has been set up for the submission of requests.
