Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the position regarding an application for core funding in respect of an organisation (details supplied) which is crucial for the continuation of the substantial work already undertaken by this forum; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAn application for funding from Cork Environment Forum was received by my Department on 8 November 2013. This application is currently being considered, along with other funding requests, in context of the overall funding to be provided from the Environment Fund in 2014. The Cork Environmental Forum was advised by email on 22 January that the funding allocations for 2014 were not yet decided. My Department will be in further contact with the Cork Environmental Forum as soon as funding allocations have been finalised.
