Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Defence if he will clarify if all branches of the Civil Service within his Department are applying Department policy that staff progress on incremental salary scales on the basis of a single point per annum; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe Department of Public Expenditure and Reform has responsibility for the development and implementation of public service pay policy. Staff of my Department are awarded increments in line with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform policy of progression on incremental salary scales on the basis of a single point per annum. Incremental progression is linked to satisfactory performance which is managed under the Civil Service Performance Management and Development System.
