Deputy Michael McNamara asked the Minister for Health if the Health Service Executive is under the aegis of his Department in respect of Government policy for which he is responsible for answering parliamentary questions pursuant to Standing Order 34; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health

As Minister for Health, I have responsibility for national health policy. Under the Health Act 2004, the Health Services Executive has statutory responsibility for, among other matters, managing and delivering health and personal social services.
