Questions (701)

Stephen Donnelly

Question:

701. Deputy Stephen S. Donnelly asked the Minister for Health his plans to cut the waiting times for those who require wheelchairs and aids by allowing the Health Service Executive to take back and recycle those that are no longer required by a patient, often stockpiled in nursing homes and other facilities; if such an approach is feasible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy's question relates to service matters I have arranged for the question to be referred to the Health Service Executive for direct reply to the Deputy.
