273. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Finance the number of bank retail outlets that have been closed in the State in the past three years; the locations of these banks; the amount it would cost the State to take ownership of these premises; and the estimated annual running costs. I do not have the information requested by the Deputy.  I would point out that some of these premises may have been rented or leased. There are no plans to take branches into state ownership which were owned by the banks but which are now closing down. The Deputy may wish to request this information directly from the relevant banks.
