563. Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Health the position regarding the Royal College of Surgeons (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15981/14]

Education courses provided by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland include post-registration courses for nurses and midwives across the health service. The Health Service Executive, as the major employer of nurses and midwives in Ireland, avails of some of these services for nursing and midwifery staff development purposes.
