As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. Following the establishment of the National Transport Authority (NTA) in December 2009, the development and implementation of infrastructure projects in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) comes within the remit of the NTA. The acquisition and replacement of PSO buses for the Dublin Bus fleet is funded under the NTA's Bus Refurbishment and Replacement Programme.

Noting the NTA's responsibility in the matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the Authority for a more detailed response.  Please advise my private office if you don't receive a reply within 10 working days.
